We are currently recruiting for a Data Centre Shift Technician to join a leading facilities management provider, delivering engineering services within a high-profile, mission-critical Data Centre environment in Hayes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer looking to progress into the Data Centre sector, with full training and clear career development on offer.

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical M&E systems
  • Working on equipment including UPS systems, generators, HVAC plant, AHUs and FCUs
  • Working as part of a small shift team to maintain site uptime and reliability
  • Managing subcontractors on site and overseeing works
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures, including permits to work and risk assessments
  • Updating logbooks and maintaining accurate maintenance records

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Mechanical engineering background (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a commercial, industrial or critical environment
  • Strong understanding of building services / M&E systems
  • Willingness to work a continental shift pattern (days and nights)
  • HV/LV experience is advantageous but not essential (training provided)
