Located in the heart of the Lancashire area, Preston is a vibrant city with a rich history and a thriving development agenda. The role supports the Planning and Building Control teams within the Development Management service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and coordinating workloads within the Planning and Building Control Support Unit.
- Provide technical and administrative support to the Planning and Building Control teams.
- Work to deadlines with good time management skills; use own initiative where appropriate.
- Develop an extensive understanding of Microsoft Office products and electronic document management systems.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of customers, including the public and professionals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience or understanding of Development Management and Building Control processes is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
