We are looking for a proactive, compassionate and well-organised Temporary Accommodation Officer to help deliver a responsive, high-quality service to households experiencing homelessness. This permanent role offers the opportunity to make a practical difference by ensuring that temporary accommodation is safe, suitable and effectively managed, while helping residents work towards sustainable housing solutions.
Working within our Housing Advice and Prevention Service, you will support the day-to-day management of the Council’s temporary accommodation and act as a key point of contact for residents, accommodation providers, landlords, contractors and partner agencies. You will coordinate placements, admissions and move-on activity, monitor property and occupancy standards, and maintain accurate records so that the service meets its statutory, safeguarding and financial responsibilities.
There will be ongoing training opportunities to update and refresh work skills and homelessness legislation knowledge.
