The Legal Section is seeking a reliable and ambitious Legal Assistant to support a range of tasks, including:

  • Managing administrative duties
  • Processing invoices
  • Ensuring the destruction of legal documents and files
  • Handling requests for archived deeds and contracts
  • Assisting in the preparation of court bundles
  • Maintaining the Council’s Case Management system

The candidate will also provide cover in the absence of the Local Land Charges Officer. A recognised legal qualification is desirable; experience in a legal environment will also be considered.

This role offers flexible working arrangements, a minimum of 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, family‑friendly policies, an Employee Assistance Programme, a Local Government Pension Scheme, life assurance, discounted parking, bus and rail fares, a cycle‑to‑work scheme and a health‑care insurance scheme.
