Preston City Council provides a wide range of key services to the people of Preston including Environmental Health, Housing Advice, Welfare Benefits, Community Engagement, Electoral Services, Planning, Waste Management, Parks, Events and a Revenues and Benefits Shared Service with Lancaster City Council. The Council has ambitious plans which require motivated, well-trained and high-performing employees at the heart of it to deliver and drive forward its agenda.
Working as a valuable member of a small, busy and supportive Workforce team, you will provide comprehensive and effective professional HR support and advice to managers and employees on a range of HR matters and casework, as well as supporting HR-related initiatives, projects and continuous improvement opportunities. You will have significant practical experience across a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment, absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance and change management and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
