Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Northampton and Milton Keynes for an Assistant Principal for Inclusion. The Assistant Principal for Inclusion will lead the implementation of inclusive practices across the school, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education. Responsibilities will include developing and monitoring interventions for students with additional needs, liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies, and promoting a culture of equity and inclusivity across the school community. The role also encompasses staff development and the provision of leadership to support continuous improvements in teaching and learning.

As the Assistant Principal for Inclusion, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a Trust-wide group of Assistant Principals for Inclusion, enabling you to share best practice, seek support and collaborate within a vibrant and supportive professional network.
  • Serve as a key member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing towhole‑schoolstrategicdecision‑making.
  • Work closely with thePrincipalto develop, implement and evaluate the school’s Inclusion Strategy, shaping inclusive practice at both school and trust level, rather than within a single setting alone.
  • Engage inhigh‑quality, continuous professional development within a Trust that is committed to nurturing talent and supporting succession planning for future leadership roles.
