Preston College is recruiting a Director of School for Construction and the Built Environment, a member of the College Management Team reporting to the Vice Principal (Curriculum Delivery & Planning). The post gives strategic leadership of the construction curriculum, covering staff, student outcomes, employer partnerships and growth across full-time, apprenticeship, adult and commercial provision. It comes with £3.6 million of government investment to modernise the School's learning environments. Fit depends on sector knowledge, experience of leading high-performing teams and commercial awareness.

- Provide strategic and inspirational leadership across construction and the built environment
- Lead, motivate and develop teaching and support staff
- Drive student achievement, progression and destination outcomes
- Shape a future-focused curriculum aligned to local, regional and national skills priorities
- Strengthen partnerships with employers, contractors and industry stakeholders
- Identify and deliver growth across full-time, apprenticeship, adult and commercial provision
- Champion innovation, sustainability and emerging technologies in construction education

- Contribute to strategic decision-making and whole-college planning and performance
- Keep provision responsive to regional priorities and employer demand
- Equip learners for employment, higher-level study and apprenticeships
