The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

The driving and operation of mechanical sweeping vehicles and other street cleansing vehicles up to 3.5 tonne (7.5 tonne if licence permits). To cover a variety of environmental cleanup operations including the mechanical and manual removal of litter, fly tipping, fly posting, and graffiti or the emptying litter bins on highways, parks and open spaces.

To operate sweeping, litter picking, fly tipping, fly posting and graffiti removal equipment working

on your own or in a small team.

To clean all pathways, verges, roads, shrubbed / grassed areas, parks and other public open

spaces of litter, fly tipping, fly posting, graffiti and other wastes.

To carry out difficult waste removal duties including building and private property clearance and

handling of hazardous materials including cement / asbestos sheeting. SCP 5 will be paid whilst

carrying out these duties. Work may also include the handling of small amounts of cash and

relevant documentation.

Driving various street cleansing vehicles up to 3.5 tonne gross weight (7.5 tonne if licence

permits).

To lead a small team including those on community service to carry out work required.

To work with new technologies including data transfer equipment, global positioning systems,

handheld computers etc.

To undertake, attend and pass any training/instruction required to competently carry out the

duties of the post including driver training to obtain category C1 (7.5t) and driver CPC.

Required to assist as a driver or labourer on Parks, Refuse Collection and other sections if

required.

Take part in Bank Holiday, evening and weekend overtime rotas if required by the service.
