The Guild Lounge is Preston\βs newest entertainment venue, a 350 seater and 500 standing capacity venue in the heart of the city centre. The Guild Lounge programme boasts a range of commercial touring shows including comedy, live music and theatre, local performance groups, and family content. All whilst delivering a quality visit to the theatre, with a full bar overlooking the historic Harris and Crown Courts.
Preston City Council\βs Cultural Service now has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Technical Assistant with excellent stage technical skills and experience.
As Technical Assistant you will assist the Technical Manager in delivery of the Technical Department\βs work, ensuring that all technical, facility and H&S aspects of the Guild Lounge are delivered to the highest quality. To assist in the management of the day-to-day technical operations of Guild Lounge guaranteeing effective systems are put in place to ensure that every performance is professionally prepared, all regulatory requirements are met and that all equipment is correctly maintained and fit for purpose. To ensure that all performances, workshops and events run smoothly from a technical perspective, including pre and post-show administrative duties, that will bring them back time and again
This is a critical role for the Guild Lounge to ensure that our ambitions to set up and grow the venue are realised. You will work closely with the Guild Lounge Technical Manager to deliver the technical aspects of the venue.
