THE ROLE
We are looking for a Junior Assistant Communications Manager who is passionate about the beauty and haircare industry to join our team at Living Proof. You’ll work closely with the Communications Manager to support with the execution of the press and organic influencer strategy to increase awareness in the industry, drive strong PR rankings and grow creator engagement.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- MEDIA/CONTENT CREATOR RELATIONS
- Support the Communications Manager to achieve business objectives and KPIs, driving yearly growth and qualitative content.
- Cultivate and maintain strong creator and junior press relationships to achieve excellent coverage conversion.
- Support the Communications Manager with ideas for creative pitching to generate press coverage.
- Lead on creator seeding with a strategic approach to outreach, onboarding, and retention.
- Proactively identify opportunities to target new creators and generate social media coverage in new and unique ways.
- Lead and oversee large-scale creator and press sendouts for all NPD and always on calendar of mailer activity. Responsible for management of third-party warehouse, list generation and outreach, creative and copy design.
- Support the Communications Manager with event execution, logistics and post-event reporting.
- Host monthly salon days for content creators and demonstrate strong ROI from every appointment.
- Take ownership of detailed reports and analysis, daily tracking and coverage monitoring, creation of monthly reports, and in-depth analysis of creator engagement.
- Provide the brand team with competitive insights and analysis on influencer engagement.
- Press and creator database management.
- Careful budget management and tracking, to include raising PO’s and updating monthly trackers and finance documents.
- Press office stock management.
- Manage sample requests and timely sendouts.
- Liaise closely with suppliers, third-party vendors and internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, design, finance, Global teams).
- Support with adhoc administrative duties.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in beauty and the ability to demonstrate junior press and content creator relationships.
- A love of social media, constantly seeking out the latest trends and growing platforms.
- A strong knowledge of content creators across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube. A keen interest in beauty and haircare preferred.
- A passion for pitching, growing relationships and driving coverage conversion.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work to short deadlines and quickly prioritise business needs.
- A high level of creative energy and out-of-the-box thinking with a proactive approach to achieving individual and business goals.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Competency in Tribe, Cision, Canva, Asana, Traackr, MMI preferred.
