Location: Field-based / Nationwide travel (Greater Manchester and surrounding regions — no fixed base; travel to store required)

Pay: Up to £14.32 per hour (dependent on experience) + £5 per shift for driving team members

Hours: Up to 50 hours per week across 10-hour shifts, including days and nights. Intermittent contract — core team members typically work consistently across c.44 weeks per year, with a break in December.

About the Role

We're recruiting Advanced Team Leaders to manage retail merchandising teams delivering store openings, reflows and closures for major national retailers including Sainsbury's, Boots and B&Q. You'll lead a team of minimum wage workers through full store footprint remerchandising projects, working hands-on alongside them throughout. Extensive travel is required, with all travel and accommodation covered. This is a physical, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives leading teams in a live retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team on-site to remerchandise entire store footprints
  • Oversee stock dressing and stock replenishment
  • Manage store systems, including scanning stock in and out of location
  • Handle equipment profiling (e.g. peg tin, shelving) — full builds not required
  • Manage shelf point-of-sale and shelf-edge price ticketing
  • Manage team performance and behaviour in person, addressing issues as they arise
  • Act as the customer-facing point of contact on-site
  • Work hands-on alongside the team to deliver projects to standard and on time

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Strong people management experience, ideally including managing behavioural or performance issues face-to-face
  • Resilient, well organised and a confident communicator
  • Comfortable with physical work and hands-on delivery
  • Willing and able to travel extensively, including overnight stays
  • Willing to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a Retail Duty Manager or similar
  • Full UK driving licence (drivers receive an additional £5 per shift)
