Support Worker

Here at Prestige Staffing & Training Group Ltd. we are looking for a numbers of support workers to work on a 2-1 basis supporting a male and a female service user. A dedicated and conscientious Support Worker with or without experience in the health care sector. A Support Worker provides essential assistance for the elderly and those unable to carry out everyday tasks independently. As a Support Worker and encouragement are the number one priorities when dealing with a variety of clients with a vast range of needs. A compassionate and patient approach encourages trust and ensures that client dignity is maintained at all times. Support Worker must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our seniors with high quality care and support. Responsibilities • Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff. • Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities. • Maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of patients. • Maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of patients. • Helping the customer to plan what to eat and drink • Gentle encouragement and help to eat and drink well • Encouraging, reminding; assisting and giving medicines • Act as Support worker to clients, ensuring their needs are met. To participate in the formulation and implementation of individual Support plans. • Participate in assessments and reviews and contribute to good written and verbal communications while respecting client confidentiality. • Observe clients wishes with regard to patterns of daily living. Organise and participate in activities and outings involving the client in planning where possible.In return we offer 12 hour day/night shifts paying up to £12.50 per hour.
