Support Worker (Supported Living)Role Overview
Support Workers are required to provide person-centred support within a supported living service for people with learning disabilities. The role focuses on enabling individuals to live as independently as possible, supporting daily routines, promoting choice and dignity, and working as part of a committed care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with learning disabilities in their day-to-day living
- Assist with personal care and wellbeing (as required by care plans)
- Support residents with daily living skills, routines, and activities
- Encourage independence, choice, and positive outcomes
- Promote respectful communication and maintain professional boundaries
- Follow care plans, risk assessments, and support procedures
- Support with practical tasks in the home environment
- Record observations and complete required documentation accurately
- Work positively with colleagues, families/advocates (where appropriate), and other professionals
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months’ UK care experience
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities (or equivalent relevant care experience)
- Ability to work shifts on:
- 24th July
- 28th July to 3rd August
- Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship required
- Commitment to safe working practices and high standards of care
Working Pattern
- Shift-based role covering specified dates in late July / early August
