Complex Carers provide person-centred care to individuals with complex health needs. You will support clients to live safely and comfortably, following individual care plans and clinical guidance, while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver care in line with care plans and agreed support protocols
  • Support with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Provide clinical support within your training/competency, including:
    • Seizure management
    • Monitoring and reassurance during health needs
    • Support with feeding routines (PEG/NG feeding)
    • Tracheostomy support (where trained)
    • Oxygen therapy support (where trained)
    • O2 administration and observation (where trained)
    • Suctioning (where trained)
  • Encourage communication, mobility and independence
  • Maintain accurate records and report changes in condition promptly
  • Follow safeguarding, infection control and medication/care handling policies
  • Work alongside families, multi-disciplinary teams and other staff as required

Experience / Training

Training and ongoing support are provided. Applicants must be willing to undertake relevant training for complex care needs and work flexibly across PO, GU and BN. Relevant experience (or willingness to be trained) in one or more of the following is beneficial:

  • Severe learning disabilities
  • Physical conditions requiring complex support
  • Seizure management
  • PEG or NG feed
  • Tracheostomy
  • Oxygen therapy/O2
  • Suctioning

Hours / Flexibility

Options available for temp, part-time and full-time work. Shifts may vary based on client needs.
