Extrusion Engineer to join their engineering team at their Scunthorpe manufacturing facility.

The Role
As an Extrusion Engineer, you\'ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of extrusion machinery across the manufacturing site.
Working as part of the engineering team, you\'ll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on extrusion and associated production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
- Minimise downtime by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns.
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance machine performance and reliability.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure manufacturing targets are achieved.
About You
We\'re looking for engineers who have
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience maintaining extrusion machinery (highly desirable).
- An electrical bias is preferred, although mechanically biased engineers with relevant experience will also be considered.
- HNC/HND qualification in Engineering (or equivalent), with certification available.
- A completed engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Time and a half (Monday–Saturday)
- Double time for Saturday nights and Sundays
- Salary & Benefits
- Circa £43,500 per annum (subject to confirmation)
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Annual leave increases by one day per year after three years\' service, up to a maximum of 30 days
