Permanent Full Time Position
Wold Farms Ltd Rearing & Finishing have farms located in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and the Midlands. We are part of industry leading food producer Cranswick plc and due to business expansion, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Fields Person to join the busy Wold Farms team. This position will be working within the existing team ensuring smooth running of pig health, welfare & movements across the farming business.
Main Duties:
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with our contract growers and finishers.
- Assisting with stock movements and advising on pig selection for slaughter ensuring they meet the target weight and quality.
- Ensuring the day-to-day health of livestock is in line with RSPCA assurance standards and Company policy, advising when required.
- Communication with the production team on a regular basis to ensure smooth running of all operations.
You will need:
- Experience with handling livestock and a keen interest in the pig industry and animal welfare is essential for this role.
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must.
- The ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
- You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to exceed expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Full UK Driving licence as travel between our farm locations is required.
Pay and benefits:
- Full-time, permanent position available.
- 45 hours a week, with working hours to be discussed at interview.
