The Opportunity: What You Will Be Doing

As an Electrical Commercial Instructor, you will step away from day-to-day site work to share your extensive industry experience with the next generation of engineers. Working alongside a supportive, established instructor team, you will deliver engaging, high-quality commercial training courses directly to employees from client businesses. Your core delivery portfolio will focus on essential commercial programs including:

  • Compliance & Regulations: 18th Edition and Safe Isolation procedures.
  • Testing & Inspection: Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (2391) and PAT Testing.
  • Practical Application: Basic Electrical Maintenance workflows and fundamental Health & Safety courses.

Opportunities to deliver desirable specialist modules are also available depending on your experience (including PLCs, Instrumentation, CompEx, and High Voltage systems).

What We Need From You (Key Criteria)

  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience with high-level craft and technical skills.
  • Qualifications: A relevant electrical qualification at Level 3 or above is essential (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
  • Communication & IT: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with basic computer literacy to help develop new course contents and learning materials.
  • Logistics: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to multi-site travel requirements.
  • Teaching Background: Teaching or assessing qualifications are desirable but not essential. Full training, corporate support, and qualification sponsorship will be provided to help you develop these skills.

An Industry-Leading Benefits Package

Our client genuinely invests in their staff's well-being and long-term security, offering an exceptional perks package:

  • 42 Days Annual Leave (Inclusive of bank holidays, offering an unmatched work-life balance).
  • Annual Performance Bonus tied directly to organizational success.
  • Private Healthcare & Life Insurance (Providing comprehensive peace of mind).
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Full funding and mentorship for your teaching and assessing qualifications.
  • Wellness & Support: Employee wellness programs, cycle-to-work schemes, and regular staff health checks.
  • Branded Workwear provided from day one.
