We are recruiting for an experienced Finishing Plant Operator to join the production team at a specialist manufacturing facility in Hull. This is a hands-on role working directly with critical plant and heavy industrial machinery. The environment is physically demanding, with exposure to dust, noise, heavy materials and industrial processes, so this position will suit someone who is comfortable working in a challenging manufacturing environment and isn’t afraid of getting stuck in. Full training will be provided on the specific plant and processes, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in manufacturing, processing, heavy industry or machinery operation.
The Role
- Operating rotary kilns, coolers, screens, blenders and associated plant equipment.
- Preparing and feeding raw materials into the production process.
- Monitoring plant performance, processes and equipment operation.
- Operating blending equipment and ensuring batch specifications are maintained.
- Carrying out routine inspections and identifying equipment defects or abnormalities.
- Recording production data, process parameters, meter readings and batch information.
- Preparing finished products for packaging.
