Our client is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to join a fast-paced, modern manufacturing environment supporting the growing UK leisure vehicle market. You will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings across a diverse product range including caravans, motorhomes, and holiday homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain accurate 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings
  • Deliver innovative, practical design solutions with a focus on weight, cost, and manufacturability
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards and agreed timescales
  • Support engineering change processes (ECR/ECO)
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to support new product development
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, modularity, and standardisation initiatives

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a CAD design role (transport, automotive, marine, aerospace, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD systems (PTC Creo/Windchill preferred; others considered)
  • Experience producing drawings to BS 8888
  • Understanding of engineering change management
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, CAD, or a related technical discipline preferred (or equivalent experience)
