Prestige Recruitment Specialists are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our valued client, a successful, family-run food manufacturer based near Howden. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that produces premium hand-cooked crisps using home-grown Yorkshire potatoes. From field to factory, quality is at the heart of everything they do, and they are now looking for an experienced Machine Operator to become part of their close-knit production team.
The Role
As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for ensuring production lines run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. Duties will include:
- Setting up and operating production machinery
- Carrying out line changeovers and machine adjustments
- Monitoring product quality throughout production
- Troubleshooting minor machine issues
- Completing production paperwork accurately
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with cleaning down machinery and the production area at the end of each shift
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience operating machinery within a food manufacturing environment
- Experience as a Machine Minder or Line Setter is highly desirable
- Good mechanical awareness and problem-solving skills
- A positive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
