We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Stock & Logistics Manager to lead logistics and stock control operations within a busy manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient stock management, accurate inventory control, and smooth logistics operations across the site. This includes overseeing warehousing, intake, dispatch, and transport functions while driving performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control all stock (raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods) across site and external storage
- Ensure accurate stock levels across systems and flag any aged or at-risk stock
- Oversee dispatch and picking operations to ensure 100% service level and OTIF delivery
- Manage intake and weighbridge operations for smooth site deliveries
- Coordinate logistics and transport to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time
- Produce daily operational reports including service levels and stock risk
- Monitor and improve warehouse productivity and efficiency
- Lead, develop, and manage logistics teams including warehouse, intake, FLT, and dispatch
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with production, sales, customer service, and finance teams
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and site standards
- Manage labour planning and reduce reliance on overtime where possible
What We're Looking For
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics (food or pet food preferred)
- Strong background in stock control, warehousing, or supply chain management
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems (CMEX / NAV or similar)
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Continuous improvement mindset
