Pay: £15.59 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 06:00am to 16:30pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Sprayer to join our team, specialising in the preparation and spraying of metal and vehicle surfaces. This role requires a high standard of finish, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of working with various coatings on metal substrates.

You\’ll be responsible for ensuring all surfaces are prepared correctly, applying paint using spray equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, fill, and mask metal or vehicle surfaces prior to spraying.
Paint Application: Mix and apply primers, base coats, and topcoats using HVLP or conventional spray equipment.
Finish Quality: Ensure final paintwork meets required specifications and customer standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to spray guns and other related tools.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all relevant COSHH regulations and PPE requirements when handling hazardous materials.
Stock Control: Assist in monitoring and managing paint and material inventory.
Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy, hazard-free spray booth and workshop area.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in paint spraying for metal, automotive, or industrial applications.
Strong knowledge of water-based and solvent-based paint systems.
Familiarity with surface prep techniques for metal panels and vehicle bodywork.
Understanding of colour matching, blending, and refinishing processes.

Key Skills:

Proficiency in using HVLP, airless, or electrostatic spray equipment.
High level of attention to detail and finish quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and time-management skills.
