About the Role:
As the Nursery Manager, you\’ll be responsible for the operational leadership of the setting-creating a safe, engaging learning environment while also developing and implementing strategies to grow the business, increase occupancy, and ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of early years professionals
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding regulations
- Maintain and improve care and education quality across the setting
- Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, the local community, and external partners
- Manage budgets, control costs, and oversee efficient staff deployment
- Monitor performance and prepare for inspections and audits
- Identify and pursue local marketing, outreach, and partnership opportunities
About You:
We\’re looking for a confident, commercially-minded leader who can combine a nurturing ethos with strong business acumen.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 3-5 years\’ experience in a nursery management or leadership role
- Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and statutory requirements
- Proven track record of increasing nursery occupancy or business development
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage budgets, analyse KPIs, and make strategic decisions
- A proactive mindset with a passion for both childcare and business growth
- Enhanced DBS check and suitable references
