Vehicle Technician Beverley £17.48 per hour increasing to £22.03 following probation 37 hour Week
Key Responsibilities:
- To organise administration is undertaken for all work and recorded in line with the expectations of the Traffic Commissioner.
- Deliver systems which ensure vehicle and operator compliance.
- Undertake repairs and maintenance for all the Authorities vehicles.
- Utilise the MOT and Taxi Testing ensuring equipment is suitable and correctly adjusted.
- Ensure the quality control regime required to be undertaken by the MOT Inspectors is up to date.
- Operate software e.g. Transform to check vehicle history and outstanding job requirements.
- Operational use of Tracker system to identify vehicle position to expedite repairs.
- Operational management of Tachograph systems and other compliance procedures including the monitoring of the digital tachograph downloads during service.
- Security of data, ensuring compliance with data security guidelines.
- Assist in preparation of tendering and contract management of use of external resources for vehicle maintenance services.
- To be aware of legislation that impacts on the Council's Operational Licences.
- Provide advice and liaise with other bodies to ensure full understanding and agreement on specific proposals or issues.
- Identify asset needs and develop specific solutions.
- Carry out detailed investigations of vehicle queries and developments, determine appropriate actions.
