Main responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen during your shift and supervise kitchen assistants.
- Prepare and cook meals to approved menus and recipes.
- Cater for special dietary needs, including modified diets and thickened fluids.
- Adapt menus to meet residents' preferences and dietary requirements.
- Serve meals in appropriate portions.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Follow food safety procedures and keep accurate records (temperatures, stock, wastage, etc.).
- Monitor stock levels and help with ordering and storage.
