A well-established horticultural nursery based in Beverley, specialising in growing, handling, and distributing high-quality plants across the UK, is currently seeking an experienced Greenhouse / Packhouse Supervisor to join the team on a temporary to permanent basis.
The Role
This is a hands-on supervisory position within a greenhouse and packhouse environment. You will oversee daily operations and manage a team of 7 staff members, ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising and leading a team of 7 employees
- Managing and processing customer orders
- Ensuring compliance with BRC standards
- Conducting audits and maintaining accurate records
- Overseeing packing, dispatch, and quality control
- Maintaining health & safety standards
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a greenhouse, packhouse, or production environment
- Good computer literacy
- Experience with audits and BRC compliance
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Working Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:45am - 5:00pm
Saturday: 7:45am - 1:30pm
Pay
£13.00 per hour (first 12 weeks)
£14.10 per hour after 12 weeks
