Sales Administrator / Sales Order Processor
Looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Sales Administrator / Sales Order Processor to join a busy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding support to both customers and colleagues.
Working closely with the external sales team, you will play a key role in ensuring customer enquiries, quotations and orders are processed efficiently and accurately from initial enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue quotations, order acknowledgements and proforma invoices in response to customer enquiries.
- Process customer orders accurately and prepare all associated documentation.
- Liaise with Production Control and other internal departments to monitor order progress and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate requested dispatch and shipping dates, keeping customers informed of order status and delivery schedules.
- Respond to customer delivery performance reports and produce internal reports as required.
- Assist with maintaining pricing agreements and contract documentation.
- Coordinate the stock, storage and distribution of marketing materials.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and electronic records to ensure documentation is organised and easily accessible.
- Work in accordance with company procedures and support compliance with the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The ideal candidate will
- Have previous experience in a sales administration, customer service or order processing role.
- Possess excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Be confident communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Demonstrate a professional, positive and team-oriented approach.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
