A growing and innovative manufacturing company that designs, supplies, and installs specialist systems for industrial environments is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships and managing projects from concept through to installation.

The Role

  • Manage client expectations through clear communication and active listening.
  • Take responsibility for the initial design concept of proposed systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Handle sales enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work to agreed gross profit (GP) targets to maintain and grow business profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective coordination between sales, contracts, installation engineers, and clients.
  • Provide a clear and comprehensive handover of quotation documentation to the Contracts department to support a smooth project transition.
  • Maintain and update sales reports, templates, and CRM databases regularly.
  • Provide sales forecasts when required by the General Manager.
  • Attend sales meetings at the Warrington Head Office when required.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions and trade shows within relevant industrial sectors.

About You

  • Proven experience in a technical or engineering sales role (manufacturing or industrial sector preferred).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to work towards sales and GP targets.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a field-based role.
  • Willingness to travel and represent the company at industry events.

Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week. Salary Β£50,000 - Β£55,000 plus commission structure. Company vehicle provided, plus laptop and phone. A supportive team environment within a well-established manufacturing company.
