Seeking a French speaking research assistant to join a dynamic and growing team. This is a client-facing role, ideal for a commercially minded professional who thrives on relationship-building, consultative sales, and delivering outstanding customer service — while ensuring profitability. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Account Manager to play a key role in driving business growth while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, liaising face-to-face, by phone, and through detailed reporting.
- Take the lead in client meetings and communications, ensuring a high standard of customer service while managing commercial objectives.
- Research, analyse, and identify potential market sectors, prospects, and leads using online tools, databases, search engines, and apps.
- Make productive outbound calls and emails to generate and qualify new business opportunities.
- Build, develop, and nurture long-term relationships with prospects and clients.
- Accurately input data, write informative contact notes, and ensure the sales pipeline is well organised and actively managed.
- Plan and review client interactions to ensure service quality and achievement of targets.
- Manage all prospect interactions in line with company standards and relevant legislation (including marketing opt-outs, unsubscribes, and cyber security requirements).
- Stay up to date with international industry news and apply insights to day-to-day activities.
- Develop a strong understanding of clients’ products, services, and market sectors, including strengths and weaknesses.
- Ensure leads are sector-appropriate and aligned with the overall ‘destination sell’.
The Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in French (written and spoken) – essential.
- Proven experience in Convention Bureau, Conference Venue, or Hotel Sales.
- Confident in leading client interactions and representing the business at a professional level.
- Highly organised, commercially aware, and relationship-driven.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, results-driven approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and CRM discipline.
- The ability to balance customer satisfaction with commercial performance.
Monday – Friday 9am -5pm
Salary £26,000-£29,000
