Prestige Pipelaying JV Ltd is looking for an experienced Gas Site Manager to support the safe and successful delivery of works across the Cadent framework.

Location: Cambridge + Peterborough

Salary: Competitive + Vehicle + Benefits

This is a key site-based leadership role responsible for managing daily operations, supervising delivery teams and ensuring all works meet client, safety, quality and programme requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day delivery of gas mains and service replacement works
  • Leading site teams, supervisors, operatives and subcontractors
  • Ensuring full compliance with Cadent, company and industry standards
  • Planning and coordinating labour, plant, materials and traffic management
  • Delivering works safely, on programme and within agreed productivity targets
  • Completing site inspections, briefings, audits and daily records
  • Managing permits, RAMS, lifting plans and excavation controls
  • Monitoring quality, reinstatement, customer service and environmental standards
  • Identifying site risks and putting suitable control measures in place
  • Working closely with Operations, HSEQ, Planning, Compliance and Commercial teams
  • Leading investigations into incidents, defects, delays and customer complaints
  • Representing Prestige professionally during client visits and site meetings

Essential experience and qualifications:

  • Strong experience delivering gas utility works
  • Previous experience managing gas mains and service replacement projects
  • Proven experience managing site teams and subcontractors
  • Strong knowledge of gas safety, operational procedures and permit requirements
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong leadership, communication and record-keeping skills
  • Good understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
  • SHEA Gas
  • Temporary Works Supervisor
  • Lift Supervisor or Appointed Person awareness
  • Confined Spaces
  • First Aid at Work
  • CAT and Genny
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Experience working under Principal Contractor arrangements
  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Experience working directly with Cadent or other gas distribution networks
