We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to join our Taunton team, supporting a wonderful young man who lives with his family in Crewkerne. About the Client
Our client is a placid and kind-natured young man living with his family in Crewkerne. Although he is non-verbal and non-mobile, he enjoys interaction and communication and has a busy daily routine. He is looking for a caring and attentive person to provide waking night support, helping him settle into bed, monitoring his wellbeing overnight and ensuring he remains safe and comfortable throughout the night. He uses a BiPAP machine and experiences seizures, but full specialist training will be provided so you feel confident supporting him. He also requires assistance with his morning routine, including personal care, showering and getting dressed ready for the day ahead.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing waking night support and observation
- Supporting with bedtime and morning routines
- Assisting with personal care, monitoring and responding appropriately to seizures
- Supporting the safe use of a BiPAP machine
- Promoting dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the client and family

- A minimum of six months’ paid care experience
