The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.

Location: Home based with travel to training locations as required

Salary: £20.00ph

Travel cost: 25p per mile if driving own car or public transport costs can be supported.

About the Job

We are looking for a Co‑Trainer with a learning disability to help us deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. This training helps health and social care staff learn how to support people with a learning disability and autistic people in the right way. As a Co‑Trainer, you will work with a Lead Trainer. You will share your real‑life experiences, help people understand why good care matters, and help make training better for everyone.

What You Will Do:

  • Talk about your own experiences of using health or social care services
  • Help explain key messages in the Oliver McGowan Training
  • Work with a Lead Trainer as part of a team
  • Support group discussions
  • Help make people think about how they can give better care
  • Attend training and preparation sessions
  • Travel to training sessions

What We Are Looking For:

You do not need lots of qualifications. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a learning disability
  • Likes talking to people
  • Feels comfortable telling their story
  • Can listen to others
  • Wants to help improve services
  • Can work with a Lead Trainer
  • Can travel to training locations or join online
