About the Job
We are looking for a Co‑Trainer with Autism to help us deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. This training helps health and social care staff learn how to support people with a learning disability and autistic people in the right way. As a Co‑Trainer, you will work with a Lead Trainer. You will share your real‑life experiences, help people understand why good care matters, and help make training better for everyone.
What You Will Do:
- Talk about your own experiences of using health or social care services
- Help explain key messages in the Oliver McGowan Training
- Work with a Lead Trainer as part of a team
- Support group discussions
- Help make people think about how they can give better care
- Attend training and preparation sessions
- Travel to training sessions
What We Are Looking For:
You do not need lots of qualifications. We are looking for someone who:
- Has Autism
- Likes talking to people
- Feels comfortable telling their story
- Can listen to others
- Wants to help improve services
- Can work with a Lead Trainer
- Can travel to training locations or join online
