Prestige Nursing & Care Gateshead & South Tyneside is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RGN/RN Adult/RSCN) to join our growing team on an Ad Hoc basis.
This flexible role is ideal for nurses looking to supplement their current employment, maintain work-life balance, or gain experience supporting individuals with complex health needs in their own homes and community settings.
About the Role
As an Ad Hoc Nurse, you will provide clinical support across a range of care packages, ensuring safe, person-centred care for both adults and children. You will work closely with care teams, clients, families, healthcare professionals, and our branch management team to deliver outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities may include:
- Clinical assessments and reviews
- Supporting the development and implementation of care plans
- Conducting competency assessments and clinical observations
- Delivering clinical training to care staff
- Providing specialist nursing support for complex care clients
- Ensuring safe medication management and clinical governance
- Identifying and managing clinical risks
- Supporting safeguarding and quality assurance processes
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Active NMC registration with a valid PIN
- Minimum 2 year’s post-registration nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills
- Experience supporting individuals with complex health needs
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
- Community nursing experience
- Experience in complex care, tracheotomy, PEG feeding, ventilator care, epilepsy management, or similar specialist areas
- Teaching, mentoring, or competency assessment experience
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children
