Salary: GBP14.79 - GBP19.07 per hour + Plus Mileage
Prestige Nursing & Care East Lancashire are seeking Professional Home Care workers to join our growing team. Join us if you are passionate about making a difference by supporting and caring for individuals within their own homes and care settings. We provide all new members with our mandatory training programme, and further client‑specific training where necessary. We offer our members a variety of work patterns with service users throughout East Lancashire. We can offer flexibility with either full time, part time or bank positions.
The Role
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with mobility and transfers to help clients move safely around their home
- Help with meal preparation and light household chores to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
- Administer medication as per care plans and monitor health conditions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities, ensuring safe transportation
- Follow care plans meticulously to meet individual needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Hours
AM: 0700-1400 – Morning and lunch calls
PM: 1500-2200 – Teas and bed's
All members working homecare will be required to work across all areas below:
- Blackburn
- Clitheroe
- Rishton
- Accrington
- Burney
- Nelson
- Barnoldswick
Requirements
- Valid driving licence
- Experience working in care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' well‑being
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
