Role Description

This hands on role based in Chichester involves providing person-centred care and support to individuals in their homes and local community. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with personal care, medication administration, mobility support, and monitoring health and wellbeing in line with care plans. Nurses and healthcare workers will document care accurately, communicate changes in condition to clinical leads, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, coordinated support. The role also includes promoting independence, offering emotional reassurance, and building trusting relationships with people receiving care and their families. Team members are expected to follow all regulatory, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements while representing Prestige Nursing & Care’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification such as Registered Nurse (NMC), Nursing Associate, Healthcare Assistant, or equivalent care certificate; experience in community, home care, or clinical settings is highly beneficial.
• Strong clinical and caregiving skills, including personal care, medication support, monitoring vital signs, and responding appropriately to changes in health and wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with people receiving care, families, and colleagues, including clear record-keeping and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within nurse-led and multidisciplinary teams, while also managing responsibilities independently and using sound judgment.
• Commitment to person-centred care, safeguarding, dignity, and respect, with a compassionate approach to supporting diverse individuals and their needs.
• Reliable, well-organised, and able to manage time effectively, including flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and evenings as required.
• Knowledge of relevant care standards, health and safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements; ongoing willingness to undertake training and development.
• Right to work in the UK and satisfactory background checks; a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle in West Sussex is an advantage.
