The Position

We are currently looking for an experienced, full-time Mechanic to join our small, friendly team, maintaining our large fleet of over 200 vehicles and plant equipment. This role is Monday to Friday 6am - approx. 3pm, with overtime and occasional weekend work.

Day to day you will:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a mechanic
  • Valid Victorian HR license highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
  • Experience working with civil construction machinery is highly regarded
