This is a senior position with full project ownership from initial appraisal through concept, planning, technical design, and delivery on site. You will run projects end-to-end across all RIBA stages (0–7), leading the technical output and coordinating the wider project team. You will report directly to the Senior Associate and Director, take responsibility for contract administration during construction, and mentor junior staff through the delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Full project leadership across RIBA Stages 0–7, from feasibility to completion
- Feasibility appraisals, site analysis, concept layouts, and planning submissions
- Produce comprehensive tender and construction packages coordination including construction detail drawings and coordination of large consultant teams
- Architectural modelling and oversight of development and presentation models
- Consultant coordination throughout such as structural, M&E, interior designers, specialists
- Liaising with planning authorities, building control, and independent inspectors
- Contract administration and resolution of queries arising on site
- Site meetings; managing RFIs, contractor queries, and subcontractor coordination
- Supervising and coordinating a junior in-house team through tender packages
- Sourcing, detailing, and producing schedules
- Maintaining compliance with current UK Building Regulations and planning legislation
What We Are Looking For
- ARB-registered Part III Architect with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience
- Demonstrable record of running residential projects on site, including contract administration
- Confident technical detailer with experience producing full construction packages
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential), SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of UK planning process, Building Regulations, and heritage constraints
- Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
- High-end or listed building residential experience strongly preferred
- Right to work in the UK
