The Role
You will carry projects through all RIBA stages with genuine ownership, from detailed design and planning submission through to site resolution and handover. Reporting directly to a Senior Associate and the Director, you will be close to client decisions from the outset. Day-to-day you will produce and coordinate construction packages, attend site, manage consultant relationships, and navigate Building Regulations and heritage constraints with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Planning applications and detailed design across all RIBA stages
- Production of comprehensive, buildable construction information
- Consultant coordination — structural, M&E, interior designers
- Site attendance and technical resolution during construction
- Building Regulations, listed building, and statutory compliance
- Contribution to CAD standards and practice-wide technical refinement
- Direct client and contractor communication under senior oversight
What We Are Looking For
- ARB-registered Part III Architect, 3+ years post-qualification
- Strong technical detailing. You enjoy the complexity, not just the concept
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); working knowledge of SketchUp or similar
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and the planning process
- Experience in high-end or heritage residential preferred, not required
- Right to work in the UK
