ABOUT THE ROLE

Pressure Tech is a precision engineering firm with energy sector clients across the globe. As we expand into the clean energy market we have a vacancy for a CNC Miller to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern machine shop with a great team of people. We have ambitious plans for growth which have already seen significant investment in machinery and related technology, with significant year on year growth in income. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with a dynamic company and build on future opportunities within our growing business.

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
  • Finishing components to the highest quality standards
  • Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
  • Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experienced CNC programmer, setter and operator (although we will consider applicants with limited programming experience who are willing to learn)
  • Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial
  • Experience of operating twin turret multi-axis CNC machines will be an advantage
  • Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
  • Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
  • Experience of CMM desirable
  • Most important is a positive attitude, willingness to learn and in return we offer a friendly working environment, early finish on Fridays and 25 days holidays, plus optional overtime at 1.5x hourly rate.
  • We provide all necessary PPE and tools as well as full training and support throughout your career.
