About Press Parts

We are a small, family-owned business that prides itself on delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. At Press Parts we foster a friendly and supportive work environment where every team member is valued.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team on a temporary basis to provide cover for long-term sickness. In this role, you will predominantly be responsible for packaging parcels for orders and ensuring the warehouse is kept stocked and organised. You will need to be confident using a step stool/ladder, and some heavier lifting may occasionally be required. The role will begin with a focus on warehouse operations, including stock control, packing, and dispatching orders. Depending on the duration of the placement and business needs, there may also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as handling customer orders and supplier purchases. Previous experience within the print industry would be a huge advantage, as familiarity with the types of parts handled would be beneficial. Forklift experience or training would also be advantageous, although not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package parcels accurately and efficiently for customer orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organised packing area.
  • Assist with stock control and warehouse organisation.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable using computers and basic office software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

What We Offer

  • Friendly and supportive work environment.
  • Comprehensive training provided.
  • Work-life balance: General working hours would be 10:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, although we are happy to consider flexible arrangements.
  • Opportunity to gain experience within a long-established international business.

Additional Information

This is a temporary position covering long term sickness absence. While no fixed end date is currently available, the role is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
