Assistant Front Office Manager at President Hotel

Hours: 44 hours (4 days on / 4 days off rota)

Imperial London Hotels has been operating hotels in Central London for over 180 years, operating seven 3 & 4-star hotels in Bloomsbury. The President Hotel, with 523 rooms, offers an on-site restaurant bar and a resident theatre show, The Faulty Towers Dining Experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Front Office Manager in delivering quality of service and delivery for all services and facilities within Front Office departments, holding regular team meetings to agree areas of operational focus on service quality, KPI and other targets.
  • Confidently handle any guest complaints in a timely manner and ensure suitable solutions are reached to the satisfaction of guests.
  • Establish guest satisfaction data and develop improvement plans to address service shortfalls in quality and delivery standards.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop all Reception and front-of-house team members, fostering continuous professional development and empowering them to deliver best service.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Front Office Duty Manager in the hospitality industry, including managing shifts and a team.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Commercial focus with understanding of revenue management; experience of budgets, P&L and forecasting advantageous.
  • Personable, engaging and able to build rapport with guests and internal staff.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise workload and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Natural leader with ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Positive can-do attitude, calm under pressure, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Reservation Systems (Opera).
