HR Advisor
We are working with a leading institution to recruit an HR Advisor (Generalist) permanently.
Education sector
The roles are term-time only + 2 weeks (total 41 weeks per year)
Salary: GBP31,622 GBP33,882
Location: Mixture of home and flexible working, central (Nottingham City with parking available), and on-site in Nottingham / Derby locations.
Main Duties of the role:
- Providing advice to line leaders on the HR policies and procedures to follow for HR-related situations.
- Assisting with the organisation of the recruitment and onboarding process and paperwork for employees.
- Ensure all aspects of HR administration, including new starters, leavers, variations, maternity, performance reviews, absence, and references are produced and paperwork completed and entered into the HR database accurately and on time
- Responding to staff inquiries promptly with correct information, raising issues as appropriate with leaders
- Supporting HR casework with documentation, advice on the process, and attendance at meetings for investigations, disciplinary, capabilities, grievances, and appeal situations.
- Preparing the monthly payroll information to be sent to the internal payroll service, completing necessary processing and documentation, and attending the monthly payroll meeting with the Head of HR
- Ensuring the single central record is up to date at all times in the format required by Ofsted
- Producing contracts of employment and new starter paperwork, including administration, monitoring, and authorisation checks for DBS and pre-employment records
- Undertake monthly HR meetings with Heads in designated academies in line with Trust standard agendas and respond to queries raised
Requirements:
CIPD level 5 or a Bachelor s degree in Human Resources
At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources advisory role
Strong knowledge of HR information systems such as iCIMS, Salesforce, Taleo, UltiPro, and ADP
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
