The Cardiac Sonographer (Echocardiographer) performs all types of Echo / Doppler studies on patients referred by physicians, including calculations and documentation of cardiac parameters for inclusion in appropriate report forms.

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED, trade or vocational school in cardiac ultrasound
  • Certification/registration by CCI or Registered Cardiac Sonographer and Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer ARDMS
  • One to three years experience in cardiac ultrasound
  • Must hold and maintain current New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program
  • CREDENTIALS: RCS, RDCS
  • BLS certification required at time of hire
