Job Objectives And Responsibilities

To support the Supervisor, ensuring that fruit is unloaded from incoming lorries and allocated into appropriate chillers, that it is picked and transferred for outbound loads. Provide appropriate support and guidance to the Supervisors and Stock Operatives, supporting the Warehouse Manager in ensuring all stock is correctly stored, transferred and delivered. Build effective relationships with the wider business to ensure timely and steady flow of stock.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for transferring information from intake into the relevant fruit stock tables to be found within the new SI system.
  • Conduct controlled checks ensuring that information on the system matches the information at the point of intake.
  • Confirm consignments on the system when required.
  • Read and action all relevant emails, i.e. fruit on hold or under concession.
  • Liase with Procurement admin and stock to ensure all vehicles have arrived for the day.
  • Leading by example to effectively motivate your team, ensuring Stock Team targets are achieved while displaying Prepworld behaviours and values.
  • Inform and elevate any foreseeable issues with stock flow to the Stock Control Supervisor.
  • Responsibility for ensuring staff within your team operate at all times in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and in adherence to any relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring safe use of facilities and equipment and providing a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
  • Provide support and guidance to the Warehouse Operatives, actively promoting Prepworld values and behaviours within your team.
  • Duties include loading and unloading lorries, transferring fruit pallets into appropriate chillers, conducting checks to make sure the stock matches the intake control sheet, escalating any issues to the Supervisor as appropriate.
  • Conduct daily stock count in chillers and facilities using the Electronic Scanners, ensuring Stock Excel System is updated daily with relevant data.
  • Count the number of boxes arriving, checking the information on arrival against the packing list.
  • Produce and apply the pallet label to each pallet of fruit and accurately record the weight of each pallet using the electronic scales system.
  • Use the daily Production Plan to calculate the required amount of Raw Materials needed to meet customer orders, allocating the appropriate fruit to Stock Team detailing the product, quality, location etc., making sure Production receive the required stock on time and in correct quantities and liaising with Production teams if any issues are identified.
  • Complete and sign all delivery notes, updating any traceability labels if required and ensuring that the correct information regarding Seal Numbers, Seal intact or no seal are added to Driver’s paperwork before allowing him to depart.
  • Adhere to Prepworld values and behaviours at all times.

  • Supervisor/Warehouse Manager

  • Raw Materials Preparation and Assembly productions teams

Key Accountabilities

  • Day to day operations - responsible for ensuring Stock Control Operatives are aware of daily plan, ensuring any changes are implemented swiftly and efficiently and that any issues are appropriately escalated.
  • Staff Management - Support the Supervisor in ensuring staff within your team receive suitable coaching, training and support to enable them to conduct their role to a highest standard.
  • Health and Safety - Ensure Stock Team complies with all relevant health and safety, technical and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and visitors.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively across all levels.

  • Resilient with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexible approach and be willing to adapt ways of working to support team requirements.
  • Proven time management skills and be accustomed to working with and meeting time critical deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Hold a current Forklift Truck license.
  • Hold a current PPT License.

Specific Knowledge & Experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Specific Skills

  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Computer Literate, able to use Microsoft Office programs.
