We’re currently recruiting for a Packaging Development & Technical Co‑Ordinator to join our team, reporting into the Purchasing, Packaging and Waste Management Support Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for packaging innovation, sustainability, and technical coordination to play a key role in supporting packaging development and waste reduction initiatives.
Key objectives include coordinating and supporting all packaging development activities within New Product Development and Existing Product Development processes, ensuring timely delivery of artwork & repro-file approvals, and packaging components. The role focuses on driving packaging feasibility, supplier engagement, and the seamless execution of packaging projects from concept to launch while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Main Duties:
- Coordinate NPD activities including meetings, minutes, and critical path management
- Manage packaging development from concept through to launch and handover
- Oversee artwork creation, approvals, and supplier coordination
- Lead feasibility trials, pre-production, and post-launch reviews
- Maintain packaging documentation, specifications, and compliance records
- Liaise with suppliers on artwork, samples, and performance
- Monitor supplier compliance (SEDEX, BRCGS, migration, PSAP)
- Support audits, traceability, and quality processes
- Manage non-conformances, packaging holds, and corrective actions
- Maintain data systems (BOMs, packaging calculators, carbon data)
- Support innovation, new supplier sourcing, and continuous improvement
- Handle invoice management and provide on-call packaging support
Key Relationships:
- Internal Cross‑departmental: NPD Team, Technical Team, Packaging Team, Purchasing Team, Production Team, Sales Team
- External with Suppliers and Customers
