PrepWorld is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Dispatch Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in overseeing daily dispatch operations.
Main Duties
- Support the Dispatch Supervisor in managing loading bay, chiller areas, and finished stock movements
- Lead and coordinate dispatch operatives to ensure timely and accurate loading of vehicles
- Assist with planning and preparing orders for dispatch
- Ensure pallets are picked accurately and match picking orders before loading
- Carry out vehicle hygiene and suitability checks prior to loading/unloading
- Ensure customer‑specific security and transport requirements are followed
- Communicate any delays or issues promptly to the Dispatch Supervisor or Production/Operations Manager
- Oversee forklift and PPT movements in the loading and yard areas, ensuring safe working practices
- Contribute ideas for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing performance
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure “Clean As You Go” is followed at all times
- Support stock rotation, stock accuracy, and correct product handling
- Assist with managing yard organisation, vehicle flow, and bay allocation
- Provide hands‑on support during busy periods, including manual handling and working in cold‑store environments
- Ensure team members follow all H&S and food safety procedures
- Report accidents, near misses, and non‑conformances immediately
- Support cross‑departmental communication and teamwork

- First Aid or Fire Marshal training (advantageous)
- Strong communication skills

- PPT training (electric pump truck)
