We power people’s progress. At Preply, we’re all about creating life-changing learning experiences. We help people discover the magic of the perfect tutor, craft a personalised learning journey, and stay motivated to keep growing. Our approach is human-led, tech-enabled - and it’s creating real impact. We’ve just reached unicorn status with a $150M Series D, accelerating our vision to transform education through human-led, AI-enhanced learning. Today, 100,000+ tutors teach 90+ languages to learners in 180 countries - and we’re only getting started.
As part of Preply's Expansion program, you'll get to do something rare at this stage of a company: launch and scale a brand-new vertical from the ground up. Our mission is to grow Preply beyond core language learning starting with non-language subjects (NLS), which already make up a meaningful share of our business, backed by dedicated product investment that only started this year. You'll double down on that investment, working with a designer, UX research, data science support, and a set of engineers, in a startup-within-a-scaleup: high autonomy, high visibility with leadership, and one of the most exciting 0-to-1 opportunities in the company.
What you'll be doing:
- Take a 0-to-1 product from ambition to reality: own part of the strategy and roadmap for non-language subjects, and help define what Preply becomes beyond language learning.
- Shape the end-to-end tutor and learner experience for a brand-new vertical, starting from the top of the funnel and building outward.
- Partner closely with a designer, UX research, data science, and engineering to turn that strategy into shipped product.
- Stay scrappy, and think beyond your own product surface, across the wider ecosystem, both inside and outside product (marketing, supply, and more).
- Prioritize among competing opportunities and clearly communicate the reasoning behind the calls you make.
- Use qualitative and quantitative signals, including experiments, user research, and data, to validate your bets and course-correct.
- Act as the internal champion for NLS, building the case that Preply can grow a new vertical the way it grew languages, and put your fingerprints on Preply's next chapter.
- Define success for your area and use it to guide iteration, celebrate wins, and drive learning for what comes next.
What you need to succeed:
- Senior Product Management experience, ideally having built products 0-to-10 and 10-to-100, in a fast-evolving or ambiguous environment.
- Comfort with a roadmap that will keep evolving; NLS is a young, high-priority bet, not a mature, steady-state product area.
- Ability to think across the full tutor-learner funnel, not just one part of the product.
- Strong influence-without-authority: buy-in from supply, product, marketing and leadership without always having formal control over them.
- A growth mindset paired with real craft: comfortable being driven by data and revenue, while going deep enough to understand the subjects, verticals, and needs behind the numbers.
- Marketplace experience, ideally having helped take one from immature to mature.
- Comfortable operating with high visibility and communicating directly with leadership, not just reporting to them.

- An open, collaborative, dynamic and diverse culture;
- A generous monthly allowance for lessons on Preply.com, Learning & Development budget and time off for your self-development;

- Access to free mental health support platforms;

- Disciplined execution - What makes us disciplined is the excellence in our execution. We set clear goals, focus on what matters, and utilize our resources efficiently.
- Dive deep - We leverage business acumen and curiosity to investigate disparities between numbers and stories, unlocking meaningful insights to guide our decisions.
- Growth mindset - We proactively seek growth opportunities and believe today's best performance becomes tomorrow's starting point. We humbly embrace feedback and learn from setbacks.
- Raise the bar - We raise our performance standards continuously, alongside each new hire and promotion. We build diverse and high-performing teams that can make a real difference.
- Challenge, disagree and commit - We value open and candid communication, even when we don’t fully agree. We speak our minds, challenge when necessary, and fully commit to decisions once made.
- One Preply - We prioritize collaboration, inclusion, and the success of our team over personal ambitions. Together, we support and celebrate each other's progress.
