Responsibilities
- Build and own a scalable narrative system that shapes how Preply is perceived globally, positions it as a leader in AI‑driven learning, drives measurable impact on growth, hiring, and brand authority, and eliminates dependency on any single individual for storytelling.
- Define, evolve, and own Preply’s global narrative, including AI & product positioning, marketplace dynamics (tutors & learners), and social impact and mission; ensure consistent presence across all external touchpoints; establish Preply as a category‑defining voice in AI‑powered learning.
- Build a storytelling system connecting product, research, data, and insights to outputs such as PR, SEO, content, and executive communications; ensure consistency across all formats (media, reports, op‑eds, events, owned content); transition from campaigns to repeatable narrative infrastructure.
- Define and scale a global employer narrative and build targeted storytelling for key audiences (AI, Engineering, Design, Tutors); partner with Talent to impact hiring outcomes.
- Shape leadership voice and positioning in the market; develop POVs on AI in education, marketplace dynamics, and future of learning; drive visibility across Tier 1 media, conferences, and long‑form content.
- Align senior stakeholders across Brand, Product, Talent, and Marketing; create frameworks enabling teams to contribute to a unified narrative; drive execution without direct authority.
- Own both direction and delivery; personally contribute to writing and storytelling, key launches and initiatives, and high‑impact narrative moments.
- Define communication strategies for high‑stakes situations; prepare leadership for complex media environments and manage reputational risks.
- Work as a strategic leader and hands‑on executor, comfortable operating in ambiguity; maintain a high ownership mindset; be proactive, data‑driven, and editorially sharp.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in communications, content, or narrative strategy in high‑growth tech environments.
- Proven experience owning company‑level narrative or market positioning, with a track record of linking storytelling to business impact.
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and executives.
- Native fluency in English; Spanish a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of the AI/LLM landscape and its narrative implications.
- Ability to build scalable systems, not one‑off initiatives.
- Strong editorial instinct combined with data‑driven thinking.
