What you’ll be doing:
We’re looking for an impact-driven Digital PR Manager to lead earned media efforts across English-speaking markets, with a focus on discoverability in the US, UK, and Canada. This role goes beyond traditional PR, you’ll drive Preply’s visibility in search engines and LLMs by securing top-tier editorial coverage and high-authority backlinks. Partnering closely with SEO, Reputation, Content, and Brand teams, you’ll craft compelling stories that position Preply as a category leader in language learning.
- Develop and lead the Digital PR strategy for US, UK, and CA, aligning efforts with performance and SEO goals.
- Launch and manage editorial, data-led, and product-driven campaigns that earn high-quality media coverage.
- Create compelling stories for tier 1 media, influencers, and language learning communities to boost authority and trust.
- Drive measurable impact through increased traffic, domain authority, and off-page SEO signals.
- Identify high-potential, SEO-rich topics and secure links from top-tier, .edu, niche, and regional outlets.
- Maintain strong relationships with journalists and deliver both proactive and reactive PR, including trend commentary.
- Collaborate across SEO, Paid, Brand, Product Marketing, and Corporate PR for aligned and amplified storytelling.
- Work with influencer partners and internal experts to tell authentic learner and tutor stories.
- Track KPIs, sentiment, coverage, and adapt strategies based on search trends, algorithm shifts, and LLM signals
This position will require relocation to sunny Barcelona—don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Relocation costs will be fully paid for by us. ️
What you need to succeed:
- 6+ years of experience in Digital PR, SEO Outreach, or Performance PR with excellent control of the English language.
- Understanding of US/UK/CA press culture and news cycles. Strong media relationships & network is a nice-to-have.
- Solid understanding of how PR drives SEO, including link profiles, anchor text diversity, and content authority. Experience with LLMs and brand representation in generative AI environments is a strong plus.
- Ability to translate data, stories, and internal expertise into compelling media angles alongside strong pitching, story pivoting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Cision, Brandwatch, Muck Rack, or equivalent.
- Experience in-house or agency is fine, neither is preferable.
- A general curiosity around AI and some experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity.
